BreachCensus

Regulators

Data protection and financial regulators whose published enforcement actions Breach Census tracks. Not every regulator has a published action yet — a zero here means no action has been recorded, not that none exists.

Each regulator page below is a profile of that body: what it is, its statutory role in data breach notification where it has one, and exactly what Breach Census collects from it and how often. Not every regulator listed here feeds an enforcement action onto this site: several state attorneys general and national data protection authorities require breach notice but do not themselves publish an enforcement-action register, and a handful of regulators are tracked here without any ingest pipeline yet — each profile says which is true for that regulator, rather than leaving a zero unexplained.
